The Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce came to do a ribbon cutting to officially open the studio. From left to right: Bob Elliott, Shirley Beetham, Julane Lund, Jamie Thompson, and an officer who came to represent the city of Martinsville.
Just a few of the many people who waited to get in and see the studio that evening. The studio was packed the entire night!
Standing in line outside the studio, looking inside the doorway to see that it was standing room only in the studio. Many people wanted to hear tunes on the Hardanger fiddle.
In the Autumn of 2010 Julane performed at the Folk Alliance Region Midwest Conference in Bolingbrook, Illinois (also known as FARM). Late into the evenings of the conference musicians who had performed earlier in the day got together for jam sessions and song sharing. Julane took this photo in the wee hours of the morning and she and the other musicians weren't tired yet!
There weren't many musicians from Indiana who were represented at the FARM conference, so Julane was pleased to see and hear Grey Larsen and Cindy Kallet, of Bloomington, Indiana. They sang original songs, including "Back When We Were All Machines."
